At Kanawha City Elementary, we are PROUD to serve a resilient and spirited group of students who deserve every opportunity to grow, thrive, and simply be kids. As a Title I school, we face many challenges — but we also see incredible potential in our children every day.
That is why we are reaching out to you today. We are working to raise $10,000 to build a new basketball court for our students and neighborhood youth. Currently, our children have a small, dedicated place to play basketball, but it needs too much work to be at the safest it can be. By replacing the current court, it would be a much safer space for teamwork, exercise, confidence building, and community. From a previous fundraiser, we have already received brand new poles, backboards, & rims. Our students look at those unopened boxes with hope that a new court will come soon.
