Chesapeake 101 is a hands-on cruise that meets STEM and Environmental Literacy standards. First, students engage in problem solving and team building while they explore Chesapeake Bay ecology. Activities include oyster tonging, exploring oyster reef critters, oyster dissection, watershed pollution activity, seining life in the creek, and crabbing. Then, after a morning of ecological exploration, students climb aboard Harbor Queen for a 40-minute narrated Annapolis Harbor & USNA Cruise.
