With backing. This is in the As-Welded condition. Reinforcement should be left as-welded. If reinforcement is removed by the customer and is reduced below the base metal surface. Bends will not be acceptable by the GTC welding test supervisor. GTC will cut and prepare bends, perform bends, and inspect and document in accordance with AWS D1.1 or AWS B2.1.
