Guided Bend Tests for 3/8" Thick Test, Cut, Prepare, Bend and Report This fee is for preparing 2 guided bend tests on an As-Welded plate 3/8” thick. With or without backing. This is in the As-Welded condition. Reinforcement should be left as-welded. If reinforcement is removed by the customer and is reduced below the base metal surface. Bends will not be acceptable by the GTC welding test supervisor. GTC will cut and prepare bends, perform bends, and inspect and document in accordance with AWS D1.1, ASME Sec IX or AWS B2.1. Customer shall be responsible for visual inspection of the finished test plate prior to delivery.
