Item Terms & Conditions
The Gentry Public Schools offers an optional Chromebook Insurance (CI). The CI will cover a single accidental incident of damage to the device assigned to your child. This plan does NOT cover malicious, non-accidental damage, or loss. The student’s building Administration Team and Technology Department will determine if the damage is accidental or malicious. Theft will be handled with an appropriate police report if the police and Gentry Schools are unable to recover the device. Students who wish to opt out of the CI will be required to pay for any repairs to their Chromebook that are not from normal wear and tear. Chromebook chargers are not covered under this plan. Please do not use aftermarket non UL or ETL listed Chromebook chargers. Damage should be reported to the campus Media Specialist. Repairs to District owned Chromebooks must be completed by the Technology Department. Damage caused by self repair could result in a complete Chromebook replacement. Students having their devices repaired/inspected may obtain a loaner Chromebook. The terms herein will apply to the loaned equipment as well. The sign up for this protection plan is due by October 3, 2025. The plan coverage expires the last day of school.
