4th grade field trip to Pisgah Gem Mine on Friday, October 3. Students will be learning all about rocks and the rock cycle. We will also mine for our own gems to bring home! Rocks and the rock cycle are science standards that are taught in fourth grade. We will also have an amazing opportunity to have a hands on and up close experience with axolotls, snakes, turtles, and more. We will learn the differences in mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish and birds as well as learn about their habitats. We will be going to the covered picnic shelter at Jackson Park to each lunch.
