During the Early Charlotte field trip, students will explore the historic Alexander Homesite, an 8-acre preserved and restored 18th-century homesite located on the museum’s campus. Students will walk through the 1774 Rock House—the oldest surviving home in Charlotte—as well as the Springhouse and Log Kitchen, examining daily life in the Carolina Backcountry.
